@Dustin Leonard I would say invest where there is a lot of guaranteed money and low cost of property (large military bases in the south).

My entire life before I joined the military was spent in ridiculous poverty (I grew up in Orange which was a ghetto in the 70s) so I know exactly how that gig goes.

Hi guys, a newbie hereI'm in the Military, and about to move to Fort Stewart in GA.My wife and I have been doing some research around the base, but it's a bit hard for us to choose either we are going to rent a place or buy one.It's not our first time buying a property, but the market around the base looks very different than the one we have here.

Texas is Texas:HEB, Taco Cabana, Whataburger, it's own Air Force and boots on the ground military, can legally fly it's flag at the same height as the US Flag, has a ranch larger than Rhode Island.And a lot of Horses.
