Housing around Fort Stewart, GA?! Hard to find a good option

Hi guys, a newbie here

I'm in the Military, and about to move to Fort Stewart in GA.

My wife and I have been doing some research around the base, but it's a bit hard for us to choose either we are going to rent a place or buy one.

It's not our first time buying a property, but the market around the base looks very different than the one we have here. Properties around nearly appreciated over the last 10-15 years. (Hinesville, Richmond Hill, Pooler)

Renting a place can be an option as well, but it would take the entire housing allowance.

We are not going to stay in GA too long. (2 years max)

What kind of strategy would you guys use if you were in my position?

Thank you, guys.
