Looking for guidance, family investing with VA loan

I am in a unique situation and looking for advice. 

Me, and my family are looking to invest in real estate. 

ideally these would be 2-3 SFH's that me and my brother would move into immediately and then possibly rent out after the year.. either way we are looking to invest and not rent any longer.  

parents are on board and can take advantage of VA benefits.

My question is should we start an LLC for both properties? Just go for the properties individually?
