That kind of thing happened after 2008 and in some highly distressed submarkets thereafter but I haven't heard of anything like that recently.As for the difference, are you referring to the county's assessed value? 

Well, we don’t own a G-5 like @Jay Hinrichs 🤣, and our process is much more local, but not much different in terms of borrower and property qualification.We only lend in Los Angeles and North Orange County.

The property taxes in Palm Beach County are on average 2% of the assessed value of the property.

Madison and Dane County continues to be a growing market, with price increases reflecting that. 

I've been concentrated in Pinellas County, but open to areas of Tampa if wise.

I own a duplex in Alameda County as well... most definitely not a landlord friendly county.
