I ask because i was contacted by a very sincere and sounded honorable BP member that read my post and referred me to a CRS company that he said that he has personally dealt with and that they actually have gotten negative things taken off of people's credit report.

Also during that time we had a condo in myrtle beach that had lost over half it's value so to speed the divorce up we did a deed in lieu of foreclosure.As my financial settlement My then wife refinanced the house and paid me $100,000 which I used to buy 2 short sale properties which I fixed up and have since rented out .

I guess I was strung on my first rental property and forgot that while I was trying to be nice, any glimmer of sincerity was/is a sign of weakness in some eyes.
