I was looking for a property in a ski area, had my heart set on Colorado but at the time couldn't find anything there and had been to Lake Tahoe in the past and was looking for something that was within 2 hours of a decent airport.

I think the property has so much potential. its 45 minutes from the Oregon coast, its in the Umpqua wine region.  68 miles from the Bandon Dunes golf resort.

If it's an ideal location people will resort to futons, cots and even hang hammocks.  

I have read about PIGS but not really interested in golf courses, convention centers, or ski resort investing.

And of course if all else fails, our last resort will be to wholesale the property.

I am very familiar with the area we will be investing in, it is a ski area that I have been going to my whole life.

I also happen to live in between the 2 largest ski areas on the east coast as well as a beautiful lake region.

Another option is that she is willing to let us sell it as a wholesale transaction as a last resort.

I'm in our procurement department, so I spend all day working with our suppliers of both goods and services, helping folks at our resort properties sort through issues, finding strange/large/expensive/hard-to-find items, and bidding out items that we need for various projects to generate savings for the company.

It really hit hard, after flying a "date" out from Ohio to Denver (I paid for the flight) on Martin Luther King weekend in 2001 so we could ski together (we met New Year's 2000 while vacationing at Heavenly Ski Resort in Tahoe).
