Are you converting this to your primary home and hate the current flooring?

Im gathering some information to have a better understanding with a FHA Loan for my first house hacking multi family property, and how to convert into conventional  loan or commercial loan .

It would convert the existing structure from a 2 bed 1 bath, to a 4 bed 2.5 bath, adding an additional 2000 square feet of space.  

Moreover, with your experience managing contractors and rehab projects, converting regular single-family homes into co-living properties could very well become your specialty.

I'm thinking about converting the deck on 3rd floor into a full bedroom. 

Most of the opportunities that I see are POHs, and theres a strategy I have heard about to convert those to TOHs.  

I think those units have been converted to condo's. $770,000 seems pretty low for that area.

If she sells it, same penalty applies (unless she times it closer to when the term is up for her mortgage).I agree eviction won't work and putting money into converting it into a duplex isn't a good idea right now.

I'm planning on living in it with, but if I convert part a 2nd dining room and entry room into a liveable bedroom + kitchenette, will I be able to rent this out even if the HOA says there's restrictions on renting?

I am trying to convert my SFH into an up/down duplex.
