Think science, technology, engineering or mathematics.If they want to go to college just to waste time on a degree that is not going to land you a career and instead drink beer then forget it.If they would rather choose a career path that doesn't require a degree and would rather get a job or trade apprenticeship straight out of high school that's cool too.

I joined a carpentry pre-apprenticeship program ten years ago because I was interested in knowing how to rehab houses.

I’m open to mentoring/apprenticeship or the like, and really learning what this local North NJ/NY market has to offer and exactly where my niche is.

If you can find a good coach or mentor for an apprenticeship and the compensation model is structured properly it is well worth the cost.

I am considering taking up a trade at an apprenticeship program if all else fails.

Apprenticeships and practice seem like two good options Iv came up with.
