We saw a significant increase to listing prices since Nov '20 (not surprising as this is similar in the rest of CA).We thought we landed on a gem b/c this property had fallen out of escrow due to last buyer's inability to close the loan.

The employer was REI (Recreational Equipment, Inc.) and turkeys could be seen "hidden" under cashier counters, in sleeping bag bins, under clothing racks, behind the ski display... it was hilarious! 

The house was originally a single family home converted to a duplex and nothing was set straight; for example, a kitchen light was controlled by a switch hidden inside a wall, the pantry was in an old fire place, and it was leaking water through the threshold of the first unit.

If you know the cities or towns near you you are likely to find better deals and hidden gems that other may not have uncovered. 

The only way that changes is if there is something truly hidden found during due diligence and inspections... and it would have to MAJOR if my offer was a super quick one because again, I will only do the quick offer when it's obvious grand slam.
