I would recommend that you get out to local meetup events, as that is where you will make the really deep connections to help you get rolling.

Does anyone have any referrals for a plumber that can replace polybutylene water lines in a house, and then possibly a recommendation on a contractor that can do the patchwork after the job?

BiggerPockets also has a calculator to analyze deals, and I highly recommend you start this as soon as possible, even if you are not ready to buy.
