You need to find the place they got in at and attach a mesh screen over it leaving the bottom side a bit loose (and make sure it overlaps the wall) so they have to slither through the mesh and the wall to get out.

I have no issues detailing the exact size of aluminum  step flashing, the fact it is coated, the overlap of the lead on corners, etc and I would expect any other roofer to be willing to detail the same on their contract.

That’s to say things that overlap I’m not sure they would have a problem counting both ways like bank accounts, so you kinda get an advantage.
