My thought is yes because that was time spent renovating the property to prepare it to be rented. 2) Do hours logged include time spent driving to the property to perform renovations and re-stock supplies?

The squatters would have to go through the legal process, which they won't because they know they have no evidence of legal occupation.The worst that could happen is violence, so you should only attempt this if you are prepared to defend yourself.
