Inspection report revealed the owner had updated ONLY the interior areas visible in photos, like the floors, kitchen, bath.

Tenant provided me 1 month's renters insurance before they moved in and after that I didn't ask for it, but during inspection, I do reveal that the tenant didn't carry renters insurance throughout the last 18 months.

With plans of occupying one unit and renting out the ones, we made an offer and the sale is currently contingent.Unfortunately, the inspection revealed some structural issues that might be a liability.

There could be a couple of common reasons....1) you didn’t reveal all of your debts, payments, etc 2) your loan officer/salesman didn’t properly look at your total financial picture. 

A quick scan of Texas law reveals it to be pretty backward in this area and he may or may not be right that if he owns the building outright he is not subject to the FHA.  

Rightfully or wrongly they will often reveal what the seller will take Let them know you will be putting in your offer with them.

People will post everything about their  personal life with no consideration what so ever as to who may be reading it.The worst tenants are the ones to most likely post the most revealing info for a landlord to use.Not sure you should check up on current tenants, regrettably most landlords think their tenants like and respect their landlord.
