My name is Dillon Barnhart, and I just recently stumbled onto the BP community.A little bit about myself, I grew up in Northern California, but have been in the military for the last eight years and done my fair share of traveling around.

During this process I stumbled upon Bigger Pockets and I couldn't be more grateful.

I read all the Rich Dad Poor Dad books, got my license to be a realtor in 2003, was the million dollar rookie for Coldwell Banker Burnet in 2003/2004 selling and helping my clients to build new homes, then got into mortgages worked with Wellsfargo and UsBank for a moment, then stumbled into adult day care...and now here I am...helping elders/seniors make that hard transition from their home, where they lived all their lives, to a senior housing community, and many times their children live NOT in the same cities, so its hard to get that help, and that's where I come in to assist.I have just a few real estate buying, selling, holding, flipping experience, but they all gave me really great experiences and really bad experiences and I have learned alot from all my experiences.

I started this journey because I just received a promotion that will require me to live in the DFW area part time and while i was researching places to live (rentals or apartments) I stumbled across this website.  

After having my attention caught by none other than, you guessed it, rich dad poor dad, I made my way through Phil  Pustejovskys YouTube video series, Matt Theriault's EPIC real estate investing podcast, and finally stumbled upon BIGGER POCKETS!

We basically stumbled into this and have been making a profit ever since. 

I stupidly responded to a Craigslist ad for REI, while investigating their spiel I stumbled on this site, and I am so glad I did!!

I started out listening more to stock market investing podcasts and stumbled across this site sort of through the Afford Anything blog by Paula Pant.  

But surprisingly the seller accepted the low ball offer of $45k and more and more investors were still willing to pay the $78k so I stumbled into an opportunity.
