Our first Rental

When my husband and I got married 3 years ago, it left us with 2 residences.  Since we kind of wanted to live together, we rented his out.  We basically stumbled into this and have been making a profit ever since.  The Denver market is booming!  Rents and values are increasing exponentially.  We have someone else managing it for us and it's basically pain free.  This experience, coupled with finding the Bigger Pockets podcast has really lit a fire under us to do more and that's what we'll be doing.

@Elizabeth San Miguel

Congratulations for your rental success. The Bigger Pockets podcasts' are commendable, especially in terms of practical tips they offer. I believe that for a majority of investors, you don't have to reinvent the wheel but rather follow the same course, with some changes of course, and you're likely to achieve REI success. Like in your case, outsourcing property management is an excellent step. Congrats and much success to you!
