May I offer just one piece of advice:As you're about to embark on this very exciting new endeavor, I would HIGHLY recommend you meet with a mortgage/financial professional and share with her both your short- and long-term goals.

Please enlighten us on what was required for you to embark on this endeavor. 

and also you don't want to be setting up appointments to look at houses you can't buy anyway.. not fair to the homeowners they have to leave .. do something with their animals etc etc.. think about others when you embark on this journey.
