If you’re young you might like to downtown scene but when you have a family the appeal to walking around with your 4 year old next to intoxicated 18-22 year old army kids loses appeal fast.

It's a charming big old house with lots of updates and a really great location in the downtown OC area. 

It is not taken care of at all, great colonial, and it's in the middle of my towns main street/downtown area surrounded by great houses. 

The property is down town and we were looking at appreciation.

It is within 1.5 miles of major hospital, train station downtown, and major highways. 

My office is located near downtown off of Fruitville Road.

Still good deals to be had, but developments going on in the downtown are fueling the surrounding areas, revitalization of older warehouses for luxury units, etc.

I don't mean to sound confrontational, but Peter is clearly looking for information on how to buy his first house in a new market, and to fill his head with delusions of grandeur about 20 caps will pretty much have him spinning his wheels and never pulling the trigger on anything.Peter, there are lots of nice up-and-coming areas in Tampa (there are also some bad areas to stay out of, namely Sulphur Springs and anything around North Howard Ave by Downtown).

Trust me, I lived in Toronto downtown which has been going through a property boom like nothing else.

It's up in Bakersfield (near downtown).
