The other posters in this thread have covered pretty much every reason why it's a good plan to avoid buying a condo as an investment if you can.I'll just add one more that I didn't see mentioned - Condo appreciation rates are way lower than single family homes.Browse around Zillow and look at some condos for sale in your area, then scroll down to the price history.

Filter last 6 months, filter for similar BR/BTH with +-5-10% of the square footage, sort high to low, and then you have a list of the top-tier closes for that housing product (hopefully they are renovated if that's your end goal), with the list decreasing in value as you scroll down.

I don't like taking advantage of people (which is what I think most of these people do, some are probably worth it) but when I see mindless people just handing over thousands of dollars to people because that person is a good self-promoter, it makes it tempting.

Buuuut... on my way scrolling through them, one of the many great titles may catch my eye and I end up out of order.

Does this app act up for anyone else when scrolling through your followed forums?

If the houses you own, their weak and their strong points, aren't in your brain and mindlessly crawling like a blind worm all the time, you should do it.Now, on the other hand, if the phrase "assuming an average of 8% per year for 25 years" doesn't set off an alarm bell in your head, that's your problem.

However, my ADR on VRBO is showing a default price of $699 (until you enter dates), defeating my low-price strategy when a guest scrolls by my listing.
