FYI- By me (eastern Pa) a cheap bathroom reno is 5k and up.

A lot of the housing stock here, even in the neighborhoods that you mentioned is at best 60-70 years old and worst 90-110 - there are going to be warts with alot of properties and those without, you are going to pay a premium for.That being said the areas you mentioned are certainly more stable and reliable than the New Kensington, New Castle, Beaver, Mount Oliver, (insert Eastern neighborhood here) where you can find houses for under $20,000But as @Andy Madden mentioned, anything is possible with the right networking and finding value-adds offmarket.good luck!

Like if I spoke with you and the photo you have as your image here on BP I would not expect a strong Middle Eastern accent, European maybe could pass if there was any accent.

My observation is northern and eastern markets (Marietta, Alpharetta, Decatur, Stone Mountain) have more property management firms that specialize in their area.Finding somebody who was interested in Stone Mountain and College Park was more of a challenge. 

I would like to go back home to eastern NC.

I've gotten in touch with a title company from Eastern Nebraska and they are running all of the legalities through their lawyer today.

Most 'student housing' is located directly south or directly east of campus within immediate proximity (there is also a location to the west, but it is not as populated with students as the southern and eastern locations).

Are insurers all going to pull out of states like CA, FL, LA, and the eastern states that are hurricane prone?
