@John Woodrich I've been toying with the same idea, regarding a builders license, but have cold feet because although it seems like a significant payout, the risk matches.

Or just rent it "as is" to somebody with a weekend convertible Mustang, or a small boat, or some other toy that needs covered parking they don't have at their own house?

The trade off for the tenants will be that they have some outdoor storage space for toys/bikes etc.

I was toying with the idea of stocks for awhile, but I could never get past the inherent risk related to their volatility.

The rich have been and will continue to get richer, and as long as some benefits (or more importantly their perception) are passed on to the fabled “middle class”, there won’t be any game changing new world order.

It’s a 2 bedroom unit and there are plenty of toys around so I assume at least one minor also lives there (though I have never seen any of the occupants).

Wide open space and room for toys (ATV, horses, motor bikes).

I wish I could travel light like you are now, but unfortunately I've gone the opposite way....house, two lawns to mow, garage full of stuff, two cars, and a minefield of kids toys!

So I have a few different ideas that I'm toying with, one of them being house hacking on LI. 

on top of that, maintenance will be more than toy can possibly imagine.
