After the "I'll evict you on Xmas because I’m such a harda**” post, the two 100+ reply threads on “college is good, college is for the sheeple”, and the “should I rent to a felon” thread that morphed into a debate about nature of the criminal justice system in the US, it seems that we have strayed from our roots as a REAL ESTATE forum where people talk and learn about REAL ESTATE related issues to a venue for real estate investors to espouse their world views on any number of given topics that are at best tangentially related to real estate.

The venue has changed for our next meeting!

We currently meet in Glendale Heights and are working on a contract with a venue in Oak Brook right now (a lot closer for you) but nothing set in stone yet.

I'm curious about all these venue's I am see'ing.

GREAT spots that some tourists know about, but are still wonderful: Port of Call and Pat O'Brians... worth going :)Blue Nile, Maison, Apple Barrel, - These are live music venues on Frenchman Street.

really don't know. but it will have some impact on resturants and other venues during game times.. as I would think less folks come to the games.. remember we sports fans are front runners or band wagon or what ever if the team is no good people don't come and that leads to a ripple effect..  

I came across a house in my neighborhood that would be an excellent B&B or wedding venue, but I was not sure if it would be legal to operate such an entity based given it's current zoning (R4).

Here we have a substantial response by someone who, yes, is selling real estate education in another venue , but is also willing to contribute something substantial here o an open forum.This allows for substantial give-and-take. 

For pure short term rental, further Southwest Austin has a ton of wedding venues with hill country appeal that also do well in peak season for rentals. 

Wedding planners are usually looking for venues to host their clients so this could be another option in their portfolio.
