If you have to have an outside spigot for watering, get a faucet lock.On the other hand, I've seen people in other places snaking a hose out from the basement utility sink.

Wanted to see if this is the norm or am I getting hosed and need to look elsewhere?

Typically, this ground is to a water pipe located at the main, at a water heater, or to a hose bib, but we could not find it at any of these locations.

The plumber informed me that the hand held shower hose was spraying water on the wall and all over the floor during every shower.

But if it was a 2-4 unit I’d be hosed. 

While it may take some people half a day to buy and install a new dishwasher, garbage disposal, hoses, and a sink, that guy ain't me.

Seems like it would be easy to overdo it with the sander, and hose yourself.

Little more info for everyone here.The hose was attached to the spigot and drained  before winter, as I was always taught growing up, and I`ve never had a pipe burst.
