What you got was a paid education.. you learn how deals are done you learn terminology you learn who the mover and shakers are etc etc..

As for local meetups, there's a monthly meetup in Snohomish County here and others in Seattle/Bellevue/Tacoma areas.

If they want a janitor on the premises at all times, you have to add the salary of such person that will keep the building clean, be on the premises to open for movers, utilities companies, help solve small problems, plus your company fee for gathering assessments, sending monthly bills, pay their bills.

My wife and I just moved out here to Tacoma this past September.  

Brandon Turner attends meet-ups in Seattle and Tacoma with some frequency.  

It is a Duplex in Tacoma, Wa.

I would also set up a keyword alert for "tacoma meet" so you get notices of when your peers are meeting.
