I think of it as getting back the seed corn. 

I personally like the market where I live in the Chicago west suburbs (Berwyn) because it allows for a healthy mixture of cash flow and appreciation.

The area is nice, though its mostly corn fields around it.

Hi All -I use a mixture of craigslist and talking to local property managers to discover how much I can rent my investments out for, but was wondering what other sources do other investors use? 

You have a room with a mixture of elementary school, middle school, high school, and college students.

That will bring us up to 200 properties which is a mixture of single family homes, small multi families, a commercial building, and 6 mobile home parks.

I currently have 5 rentals (mixture of houses and condo's) and am looking to get into some bigger type deals.  

In most cases, a mixture is almost certainly appropriate.
