There are dozens of tropical paradises that are just as nice or nicer, without the crowds, without the government regulation, without the threat of disasters, and with property for 1/4 - 1/2 the price.

The property borders Southfield (8-mile and Evergreen), property is around $45k (0subject to negotiation) and may require some renovations.

if the housing actually crash's like 08 your Heloc will be frozen just like 08 when almost all helocs were called or frozen.you would need to evergreen it before the crash.

So far the tropical regions don't seem to have a big problem.  

By the end of week 3, if things are opening back up, we will be dining out on the beach, staying in a hotel somewhere tropical because we will be so sick of being home, we just need to get out.Based on my circle of friends, this is not a unique situation.

I would not pay it down I would ever green it and use those funds to stabilize thats your cheapest rate..
