I would add that it's very import that you get your sales speech down before you spend a dollar on marketing / lists/ sales.

All the ahead of time prep work is what makes the call/speech/interview...whatever, go so smoothly. 

You should also have business cards ordered and give them out to everyone who speaks English and any other language you are fluent in and who would listen to your "elevator speech".

If not I just act amiable / speak in plain speech which generally works.
