I joke about drinking beer and haven’t touched alcohol in 6 years so .. done things are said in light hearted manner .do watch out for drug references and ghetto culture references .

And when I tell people, I get the same old argument "Oh I just hire a PM, then I don't have to deal with it, problem solved" - and they don't realize how naive they sound...I was lucky enough that I have never made the mistake of buying in the inner city; frankly it was only because I had just arrived in the US and it was too much of a culture shock and also a language barrier - I just could not understand some people what they were telling me - so I decided to look in nicer parts of town.

I like the idea of moving somewhere...learning the area a bit, buying a property or 2 (maybe with a local partner) fixing it up and selling it over a years time while I experience the culture...and moving on.It seems completely obvious that the idea of rehabbing and reselling a deteriorated property would exist in any culture or country but I never hear about it being a thing.
