Its near winter ski/ snowboard, snowmobile, atv... trails. near white water rafting.. lots of traffic with tourist. end note... after repair my guess is upwards to $mid range to high range of $200 -350K

Pros: properties are affordable there (especially compared to MA), easy direct flights from Boston, great tourist destination (so there's a possibility to rent through AirBnB for supplemental income), tax advantages if we ever move there full time, etc.Cons: PR's default (could result in higher taxes), high unemployment rate, locals leaving the island en masse, etc.

Also, something that came into my head recently was to be able to buy a house in Guatemala City, Guatemala (I am originally from there) to rent it out, or buy a house in Antigua, Guatemala which is a really popular tourist city, and have it as a seasonal rental property, possibly utilizing Airbnb.

Hello Nate,Well, in Scotland, lodges and log cabins are extremely popular destinations for tourists, and apparently (although I'm still researching this) the UK domestic tourism industry is predicted to grow by 3% over this coming year due to the fact many nationals are not leaving the country for security and monetary reasons - fortunately, in Scotland, regardless of the weather, people are always renting log cabins and lodges.
