Aloha Dirk,  Like in most places,  Hawaii has a mix bag of contractors from really good reasonably  priced ones to dirt cheap shady ones that do shoddy work that could lead to fire (bad electrical work) or health issues (mold) for tenants.

I was even denied the records for this house such as building permits, add on history etc at city hall even though it's public record knowledge!!

Look the employer up online, then call the public number.

We don't trust the landlord info they give us, we look up public records to see who actual owner is and then use whitepages.com to get their phone number.

Perform the same task in each app to ensure a fair comparison.Load a property with pictures and details.Market that property.See what your marketing looks like from the public's perspective.Submit a fake application to see how easy the process is.Run a credit/screening report on yourself.Enter a maintenance request, assign a vendor, and attach a fake invoice.Enter charges to the tenant's ledger.Enter recurring charges and automatic late fees.Sign documents electronically.Run owner reports.After testing a few apps, one should clearly stand out.

I am a local real estate investor who runs data from public sources to try to find properties.

My husband and I will be taking my in-laws into our home due to health issues.

But for most types of public records you can actually click and read the documents.  

Was about to sign up with Relay because so many BP big names have publicly endorsed them...but after researching I've been seeing similar issues raised by other customers, like those on this reddit post.
