Making the jump to full-time real estate can be daunting, but the favorite thing I continued to remind myself when I made the transition was "The WORST thing that can happen is I got back and get a "normal" W2 job again".Also, being willing to make that jump only gave me more confidence that if I had to go back into the W2 job market I would absolutely crush it because I have this real-world entrepreneurial experience.Chicago is an awesome place to get started in real estate - if you just immerse yourself in the networking you will be completely mind-blown at where you can end up in 2-3 years.  

Since, there is so much to learn, it can seem overwhelming so it might be best to figure out what type of investing you want to do and then immerse yourself in that specific sector and subject. 

No matter how much information you read, listen to, or talk about with other investors, you will not understand the reality of the system until you have fully immersed yourself into your own property and gained your own personal experience.Before buying my property I had been listening to, watching, and reading anything and everything I could get my hands on regarding any kind of investing, business building, self development, and real estate.

The market for sales is a little slow right now, and I’d like to learn and immerse myself more in the investing side of things, and make a little side hustle money.

If you are not a "board game player", you can just come for the food and networking.

I was able to fully immerse myself in the businesses during my break from the corporate world.

I have been immersed by real estate working for investors on the construction side doing handyman work, as well as learning along the way finance, networking, project management, etc.

There are certainly other benefits that could come from fully immersing yourself in the real estate industry as a realtor, but being more marketable in the eyes of a lender certainly is not one of them.

I have been immersing myself as much as possible in real estate learning material.
