They have multiple people to deploy at any given time.

@Alex SImon I, too, was once a deployed contractor, however, not for years at a time.Are you actually "stuck" out there for years or do you choose to deploy for that long to bank as much money as possible?

I wouldn't use your buddies as justification, though, since as a veteran that has been deployed during the holidays, and as the father of a veteran that served in Afghanistan during the holiday season, I'm fairly certain that your friends would rather have been home on the 25th.

We have a few wholesalers around Chicago that have deployed nearly 100k in capital to their direct mail campaign's which bought them at least a few months of deal flow, but most of it is in and around the city.  

@Bing Lin I ended up getting deployed with the military so I didn’t apply for the HELOC yet.

Deploying several different strategies at the same time (Creative Acquisition, Rehab, OCB lend, sell, manage as rentals for cashflow), all good stuff.
