Ok, but here's the problem:Property sale prices in Mexico are actually recorded on the deed in Mexican Pesos, even if the property was advertised in USD and the deal was struck in USD.  

@Benjamin Brasher On the flip side, while the property is cheaper (maybe) the cost of the sale seems to go up in a lot of countries (cost of a trust in Mexico, for example, is pretty big and annual). 

Thanks to US politics and other issues the Mexican economy is in all but free fall.  Anyone investing now in vacation rentals on the coasts?I know some investors that bought a condo on the west coast in the summer and...

So how do I find a bank that will do this, ideally in New Mexico?

Ricky:Better check the local property laws, when I worked in Mexico years ago, there were restrictions on foreigners owning real estate.
