You can smell the air, make connections (thoughts and people), get additional ideas, and discover more neighborhoods.

The previous owners "professionally" cleaned the carpets which are stained and smell like pee.  

Between the zoning issues and the occupancy limits, and an ongoing short term rental battle, finding the right property might be tough.

These are situations that would prompt me to move on rather than get embroiled in a legal battle.

But, I've found that a litigious agent could come back and foul up any transaction.

The manager will try and deflect to the owner, and they might battle it out to see who's ultimately liable.

You have an uphill battle to climb starting out in SoCal, but it can be done.

I'd think though that the trespass signs send exactly the opposite message and you really want to win the battle in their minds as to why exactly you're in town.

I used their deposit to replace all the carpet and have the house professionally cleaned, at first everything was fine, its been about 2 months now, and the new tenet is complaining of  a really strong cat (probably Urine) smell in the master closet, an area we had the carpet replaced. it is a slab foundation, any cheap tricks to get it fixed, I honestly don't know what to do, I would have thought to hire cleaners or replace the carpet, but both have already been done.Thanks in advance for your help,Nick
