I ended up getting burned with a few of those (inherited) tenants, so it kind of killed it for me.Fast forward to this year, one of my tenants has been clearing snow from ALL of the common areas, sidewalks and walkways before I can get there myself.

Any other expenses that landlord normally pays in duplex in your area like water/sewer/garbage, is snow and mow completed by tenants?

In addition, depending on the part of the country in which the property is located, you may need to pay for landscaping, snow removal, etc.Lastly, another reason why knowing the location is important, is that it might open up alternative income strategies which could turn a negative cash flow deal into a positive one.

The reason I ask is because you'll never be replacing roofs, siding, driveways, etc and you won't have any landscaping or snow removal.Thanks!

@Jay Hinrichs It's actually located on the west side of the mountains, but most of the wine is made on the east side :) I love the rain and snow!
