A technician showing-up to install activate/install a service is not to run any new cabling or install a dish unless they are provided with a written letter from us instructing them precisely what the may affix to the property and where.A few years ago an installer for a local ISP drilled a hole in through the wall of one of our properties - in spite of the fact we had pre-installed a conduit specifically for communications cabling when we air sealed and insulated the building envelope.  

Like Wayne said they are usually bellow the slab, unless they're insulated and poured around the insulation, very common for water mains and heat lines to be under the slab, do you know weather it's a water main or a heat line ?

I have layers of protection under landlord & umbrella policies AND having a third party property management company to insulate me further.

We left no vinyl flooring that was also all removed. washed out vents as far as I could reach, vacuumed, and then sprayed kilz in the vents. and of course new filters,  I used a ozone machine in the house off and on for 3 months.. room to room.Now she had a kennel in the garage,, cat crates stacked up 4 high.. cat pee to the ceiling.. was sheetrocked and insulated garage,, ceiling down all insulation out and all sheetrock gone..

The main things they look for:- Windows - double pane or better (this includes basement windows)- Attic insulation- Doors - checking for storm doors or weatherstripping.

Working on estimates, for a home in metro Atlanta, that we will be closing on shortly, Can any one advise , what is the going rate for attic insulation per sq ft (Fibre glass).

@Mauricio Hernández , using an LLC can help to insulate you from liability from acts outside of your control, but they will not insulate you from personal liability from acts you do personally.

You may be able to get a house insulated this way for free or at a significantly lower price and that will save you on heating costs.

You might also look and see if your area has any rebates for insulating homes, windows, etc. and do it at the same time if it's needed.
