Sounds like you got the wrong policy and the correct one was more expensive.

Everyone is nice when nothing is going wrong, .. it is when things go wrong is how they behave and treat you , that matters.

Man I hope he's wrong that was a costly mistake if not.

Hahah most of the time if you ask "are you looking for someone local so that you can go knock on their door when things go wrong" it's a lighthearted way of saying in our technological age location probably isn't as important as the other aspects.

I'm shopping around for homeowner's insurance (California) that includes wrongful eviction coverage for an ADU attached to our residence.

As I am considering this option, I am looking for a standard agreement from one of these companies.These companies are set up to make a profit, nothing wrong with that.  

There's nothing wrong with a leasehold..with the exception of financing limitations.

But I hope I am wrong. 

I can't seem to find straight answers anywhere (totally could be looking in the wrong spots - I'm new to this!)
