However, if a determined tenant could display that you were charging them more rent for a duplicate property, for no justifiable business reason (rents went up after lease expiration, building taxes, etc), than another tenant, they could probably come up with a protected class reason that you were violating - race, age, family status, etc, and then you would be forced to use your "pain in the ***" logic in court to defend the differential.So I would say you should probably not proceed down that road, and if you do, I would probably delete this thread.

That makes the list looks pretty bad if off the first 7 lads only 2 are accurate.Also, my list is pulling LOTS of corporate owned properties even though I excluded them in my search.Is there a logical explanation for this?

The logic being it helps with reducing the number of loans, which helps to get more loans for future investment and also reduces closing costs.I wanted to get this scenario out and see what the risk if any in trying this.

It seems kind of draconian (and unnecessarily costly via turnover on my end) to terminate her lease over this, so I am trying to anticipate what would be the next logical step if she doesn't comply after my formal letter to her.
