Hi there - I bought a SFH in Oceanside (1700 sq feet on a ~7000 sq ft lot) recently and am planning to build an attached JADU (garage conversion + possible extension) & then later an attached or detached, larger ADU (accessory dwelling unit / granny flat / casita) in the backyard.

But this is what happened.The OP posted up the specialized code for Accessory Dwelling Units in his area that he had obviously never looked at, which contained answers to some of his basic questions, in reference to the International Residential Code, which he had also obviously never looked at.
