I suggest you do concrete patio from the back door and a sidewalk from the patio going around the home towards the garage side door and side gate towards the driveway.

OK  well here in rainy Oregon its the law to have gutters in anything built in the last 40 years or so.. then you have down spouts that tie into rain drains that run into weep holes in your sidewalk and then the water goes down the gutters to the storm drain system.

He just finished demo-ing the old building and told me that our property encroaches on his (according to his survey) by 4 inches- the 4 inches are all sidewalk but would make the walkway on the side of our building narrow if taken away.

I opted for an umbrella policy to cover everything from the place burning down, to one of my tenants relatives tripping and falling on the sidewalk, and attempting to sue me for it haha.Hope this helps!
