I’m reminded of the space program with choices like these - NASA wants the mission to withstand 2 failures for any given function.  

My reasons for this are that their risk-tolerance and focus on building the community is at the heart of their mission.

Every time I go to Mission Bay there are always a bunch of hillbillies walking around with an open case of Natural Light banking off the fact the oceanside property they bought in the 80's for $200k is now worth $4m.
