Diving into Duplexes
Hi BiggerPockets! I'm so excited to be writing my first post here. I am someone who has always had a strong work ethic as well as a good sense of saving money and budgeting, which I thought over time would lead me to the financial freedom that I've always desired. However, after a few years out of college in the workforce with a full-time job I quickly realized that the financial freedom I was looking for was a little bit more far fetched than I thought with my salary alone. Luckily, I love my job and the field that I'm in, but the paychecks certainly won't be leading me to the financial freedom I desire. I knew I needed to find something to supplement my income, and that's what led me to the world of real estate investing and of course, Bigger Pockets.
So, over the last year or so, I've made it my mission to learn as much as possible about real estate investing and found myself immersed in all that BP has to offer. I've already learned a ton and still feel like I'm just getting started! I also got my boyfriend on board the BP train and we are learning together to ultimately achieve our goal of house hacking a duplex as our first home, and building a small multifamily portfolio from there.
That being said, I'm looking forward to connecting, exchanging best practices, and hearing from the BP community. If you are in the house hacking or small multifamily world, I'm super excited to read your posts and learn from you. Thank you to anyone who took the time to read my post, I'm so excited to be a part of this community!
