The two REIAs I've been going to when possible are the MAREIA (www. mareia.com) and the MeetUp that happens in Columbia on the 2nd Weds of the month (Ned Carey has the direct links to that site maybe he can post them (that's how I got hooked up with it) .There is the Baltimore REIA that meets in Towson or Timonium - that comes highly recommended.

I also know MaCalester College, William Michell Law school are close-by (within 10mins) so depending on how strongly your lease and property management is, I think you will do just fine.So what I'm saying is you may be able to get Professors, College Staff or FT grad school hopefully - avoiding discrimination obviously.I also lived in a duplex in NE Mpls (Columbia Heights) and it was quiet (long winter - kids came out in summer to play on the quiet streets) but very close to Central Ave.

Hi Frantzces,The parts of NW DC where I'm seeing a lot of flips are primarily Petworth and Brightwood, and to an lesser extent, Shaw, Ledroit Park, Columbia Heights, and Bloomingdale. If your investor is interested in maximizing his profit margin, I would not limit myself to NW DC.
