It is all chinese to me.

Farther North is better.We might be past the time when someone could simply buy any new home and have it cash flowing $500 in a week.There still are many Chinese investors trying just that.  

I have to say, looking at this "card" that was posted while the work was being done is like looking at chinese handwriting.

Even though the cash flow is better than real estate, the risk of running it is more than what I can bear, and I sold it after 6 years.My dad was retired at the time, and I considered buying a small Chinese restaurant, takeout, and have him run it as manager, and part time if he wants to.

I know of some condo complexes just over the line, into Florida, that have Chinese drywall stigma, but not all the buildings have Chinese drywall. 

I am finding a few lenders are passing as they either don't know how to process an application for income abroad, or because my employer is a Chinese company, don't issue W2'a or 1099's and don't issue traditional paystubs (I just receive cash in dollars, which I deposit to my US bank). 

Estimating $7k to redo the kitchen and bathroom vanities ourselves (Chinese RTA cabinets & Quartz prefab counters sourced locally for $4k). 

Long Beach has a lot of condos available that will cash flow but it's a big city with many different areas, so you'd need to see what the trade offs are for any particular condo (crime, deferred maintenance, high HOA's, etc).The only area of Orange County with SFR's less than 20 years old and good schools that I can think of is Irvine, where Chinese buyers are paying $800,000-$1 million for a 1% cap rate and huge negative cash flow.  

But when a Chinese owner rented to Asian tenants, due to stereotyping, people think everyone is related.

We always test the water when a well is involved, most water testing labs have a selection of tests from very basic to sophisticated, almost like a Chinese menu.
