The way I see it many of our commercial/restaurants costumers and the employees treat a thermostat the same way my tenants do. 

Costumer service is great.  

Also, Costumer service is great.

Branding can be usefull to stay in the mind of your costumers, but without a track record or lack of character that shows that you can do what you say you can do, does not mater much.  

Your subway costumer will walk in because they know what to expect.

Happy halloween many-of these applicants dont need a costume to scare me.

Companies like Apple and amazon are filthy rich because they have a ridiculous amount of costumers wanting their product.

Your transportation to the gigs, expenses, i.e. do you pay for your own costumes, etc. 

I will either give you SKUs or better yet when writing your proposal if you aren't given that initially give your own list of those with a "Or others of similar type and quality at costumers request" so if they like what you picked they sign off or know what you budgeted if they don't, so they either pick similar or know they will have to pay more if they want higher end.After a couple of jobs with the same guy hopefully the investor will be "Use the same stuff we did at 123 Main for the fixtures but do the counters from 321 Center" so you cut down on time hashing that out.I do agree with others that INITIALLY giving good references, letting me walk a current job site, and seeing a portfolio of work as well as being able to provide copies of the license insurance and other pertinent info will show professionalism.
