Residential lender will tell you not to do that, but you can quick claim it... and yes they could go look it up, down at the court house or whenever you renew your loan, or they feel like scratching an itch, thus they would "call the loan in", meaning they tell you to pay it in full on the spot, which then you could quick claim it back to yourself, refi to another bank... who knows, that's the risk.
