I'm trying to immerse myself into some books now to put some planning in place.

Check back frequently and become immersed in a pretty cool community of folks where opportunities for learning is never ending!

Continue to immerse yourself in the material, plan, and take action according to it. 

Hey @Brittney AndrewsI made the decision to invest back in April and immersed myself in the subject for about 3 months.

My initial goals are getting my feet wet in this business, and although reading all about it (also a book nerd, fair warning) and getting an education is super important, I also know that immersing myself into the day-to-day investing life is what will really be the guidance that I need.

But what's important is that you immerse yourself during your down time from nursing so that you can more clearly define what you're looking for out of real estate investment.

Keep learning, immerse yourself in everything real estate and learn all you can about lending.

You really need to immerse yourself and learn all you can.
