a misunderstanding cost me one month of headaches for me, tenant and i have one abatement (hud not paying rent to owner because of list of repairs not taken care of) on my record. sometime the inspectors let you do small repairs/adjustments on the fly. understand that the vast majority of inspectors are not there to "get you": are there to make sure there is no danger/slumlording happening.

Clear title means that there no other claims upon the title interests of record owners, such as mortgages, tax liens, judgments and defects in the recorded chain of ownership.It make look like a little thing to you but may mean your title includes lots of attached baggage, like undisclosed debts, liens, lawsuits and even brownfield issues (hazardous substances).I hated title research when I started many years ago but came to learn how to make money from the mistakes and oversights  by others.

I certainly wouldn't want a drug dealer, or a user of more dangerous drugs (i.e. meth, heroin, etc.) living in my units, but I'd be less concerned about a pot user than an alcoholic.

The stairs are the type where there is no riser between each step; each step is separate, with a small gap between them.I think a runner would actually be dangerous because then she would have a carpet-rubber interface that wouldn't have much friction.
