yikes...i feel for the agents who earned those commissions...a homebuilder filed bankruptcy in charlotte a few months back..the negotiated settlement is that they're paying off their debts at 10 cents on the dollar...they owed some small business and contractors hundreds of thousands of dollars...i know of a framer who was owed 50k...they're still in business, but paying cash on delivery now...as for the contractors and small businesses, they're screwed

I picked up a a batch of imported 18" travertine from home depot for 1.88 /sq ft and threw in free delivery (that stuff is really heavy).

I've stopped buying most of my materials from big-box and buy as much as I can from the local guys, where I can get better service, prompt delivery, and better prices.I do more through Lowes than HD, and when possible (AKA, a large enough job) I always try and go through the bid room.

As to their fees, they have all-inclusive anual fees and do not charge for standard delivery and standard timeline direction of investment orders and such.
