I am interested in opening a SDIRA and am wondering if I could get some recommendations.

Pros and cons will be highly appreciated.

That's a very broad question. I'd suggest reading through the old posts in this section and then asking more specific questions.

Big issues include:
1) Choosing a custodian who will do the transactions you want to do and do them in a timely manner.
2) Avoiding self dealing.
3) Being aware that an IRA can be subject to taxes, specifically, UBIT (unrelated business income tax.)
