In terms of our industry, the leadership that we are are seeing from the two powers - VRBO and AirBNB - is that they are washing their hands of even refunding guests who purchased trip insurance insurance. 

i also suggest that they bring purell or similar product and follow guidelines on washing hands etc.airbnb is only honoring cancellations from certain areas as is vrbo from what i have been able to gather.

How do they handle when painting needs to be done or pressure washing the outside of the house etc?

It's a perfect time for us to pressure wash and get yard work done without disturbing them.

This is a result of the economic downturn after the corruption crackdown years ago: Odebrecht corruption scandal,m Petrobras scandal, & Operation Car Wash.

Then add to that: don't shake their hands, wash your hands with soap and water more frequently, if the place they are viewing is unoccupied, open the door and then let them view it while you wait outside, answer any of their questions outside (in the fresh air).As for tenants, don't send anything out.

In reality the risks of the coronavirus are low and while minimizing contact is good (along with washing your hands more frequently with soap and water), perspective is important.
